Originally founded in 1956 as “Mendip Morris Men”, we became a mixed side in 2019 and now welcome everyone to dance or play music with us. We primarily dance in the Cotswold Style but also dance some Border, and have previous experience of North-West clog dancing and North-East sword dances.
During the Summer, we perform on Thursday evenings at local pubs around the North Somerset area, and at various festivals and shows at the weekend. We also have a long history of attending foreign events in Europe, in particular fostering a strong relationship with the 'Rebhexen' ('wine witches') in Ettlingen, Germany.
In the Winter, we hold weekly practices on Monday evenings at the War Memorial Hall in Congresbury. We also run beginner sessions every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month; new members are always welcome! Check out our Diary Page or contact us for more information on upcoming sessions.
